Taff Tenants’ & Residents’ Association (Timebank credits given)

This group is the umbrella Association for all residents’ groups in Taff.  They offer feedback on the services we provide, help fellow tenants with housing issues and carry out fundraising and social events throughout the year.   

This Group has recently split into sub groups, the sub groups are:  

  • Assisting With a Youth Group; Next Youth (Sub) Group meeting is: Thursday 2nd February 1.30-3pm
  • EID Party Group
  • Weston Super-mare Group
  • Riverside Festival Group
  • Children’s Christmas Party Group
  • Funding Group 

The whole of the TTRA Group will then meet a couple of times a year to discuss progress of each sub groups and any future events.

Taff Knitters and Natters Group

The group has partnered with a Charity “Loving Hands” and knits for charities home and abroad.  Meet every Wednesday from 11am-1.00pm at Alexandra Court, Ethel Street Canton.  Please contact Annette Kerr (customer Involvement Officer before attending group meeting Tel No: 029 20259 154.  

Taff Community Allotment Group (Timebank Credits Given)  

As part of Taff Housing’s commitment to the local community, we have recently acquired a large allotment space at the Leckwith site, Bessemer Road, Cardiff.  We have allotments where Taff Tenants and small community groups can go and learn about gardening e.g. how to plant and grow fruit and vegetables. Next Meeting is:  Friday 3rd February 10-12noon

Red Sea House Residents’ Association  

This group is the voice of RSH residents and operates to ensure the residents’ needs are met.  The residents feed their views on Taff’s services back through the meetings and organise social events such as day trips.

Ty-Seren & Ty-Enfys Residents’ Groups (Timebank Credits Given  

Both young women’s hostels in Roath have active membership of their residents’ groups.  Through House Meetings, residents can tackle issues in the hostels, give feedback on the service Taff provides, and organise social and educational activities.

Have Your Say Group (Timebank Credits Given)  

The Have Your Say Group is a group of people (Taff tenants, residents & service users) that assist Taff in looking at specific issues to develop its services.  The group meets bi-monthly and various staff members present concepts, policies etc for consultation.  The group’s feedback and ideas helps Taff drive its services forward taking on board customers’ views.

Editorial News Panel (Timebank Credits Given  

This group of staff and tenants look at Taff’s quarterly newsletter and help make decisions regarding theme and content.

BME Contact Group (Black and Minority Ethnic) (Timebank Credits Given  

This group consists of 25 individuals from various B.M.E communities in Cardiff.  They are able to give specific advice and feedback to Taff staff on housing related issues. 

The use of such a group will ensure issues facing BME tenants in our communities are taken into account when providing services.

Timebank Steering Group (Timebank Credits Given)

This group looks at potential new partners from the Scheme and monitors how it is progressing.

Disability Awareness Group at Taff (Timebank Credits Given)  

Following on from our request for people to join this group we now have four members who are keen to encourage others to join.  So, if you have a disability or care for someone with a disability this may be the group for you.

It’s an opportunity to meet and discuss tenancy and other housing issues as well as disabling barriers to services. It could also be an opportunity for you to help spread useful information to those who need it?

Perhaps you would like to visit places of interest which encourages visits from wheelchair users and people who face barriers for a variety of reasons.

You may wish to help design a training workshop that will make people more aware of disability issues.  The possibilities are endless.

Taff Pride Group (Timebank Credits Given)  

Taff is always seeking to expand equality and diversity throughout the whole of its Business.  If you are gay, lesbian, bi-sexual and would like to help us develop this group.

Regular meetings in a safe environment Taff can arrange for you to meet regularly for an exchange of housing and related issues.

Group of trained tenants who help to improve services, by consulting tenants directly and feeding back to Management.
