Mutual Exchange - Swapping Homes with Someone Else

If you are already a Taff tenant, or a tenant of any council or housing association, you can apply to swap your home with another tenant, as long as their landlord is also a Council or Housing Association.

To swap homes you must find another tenant who is willing to swap with you and then both apply to your respective landlords before you move.  Before granting you permission to move your landlord will check things such as your rent account, property condition & if any legal notices have been served.

To apply for a mutual exchange please register with Homeswapper UK.  This online service matches potential tenants to mutually exchange and gives practical advise on how to successfully mutually exchange.

If you need any assistance registering online with Homeswapper please call into our Reception and we will be happy to assist you.  We have a computer for tenants to use to register and check matches online, so don't worry if you don't have a computer at home.

We also have a Mutual Exchange board in our Reception area as well as paper copies of all Cardiff Homeswapper registrations.
