Taff's Support Department

Mark Sheridan is the Director of Support and Continuous Improvement. 

There are two Head of Support Service who are supported by seven managers.

Janice Bell is the Operational Manager for the Floating Support contracts in Cardiff, The Vale of Glamorgan and Newport. She also has responsibility for Red Sea House and the Refugee Projects.

Jackie Amos is the Operational Manager for Ty Seren, Ty Enfys and Ty Haul and has the responsibility for The Foyer and our Managing Partners.

What is Support?

Support is about promoting independence and enabling people to live in their own homes. It can include help with:
  • Finding accommodation
  • Claiming benefits
  • Managing money,
  • Understanding your tenancy  - including rent arrears, neighbour disputes
  • Forms and other paperwork
  • Finding GP's and other health services
  • Managing addictions

How does Support Work?

Along with your Support Worker you will look at what you want to achieve and what support you will need to achieve it.  Meeting with your Support Worker once a week you will look at the progress that you are making and agree what else you might need.
 

How will I know what to expect?

You will be given a copy of our Support Charter that tells you what you can expect from Support and also what we will expect from you. It covers all tenants who are receiving support from Taff in their homes and those who are living in our Supported Housing Projects.
