We have received the sad news of Mr. Ahmed Mohamed passing away in his family home in Butetown.
One of the first tenants at Red Sea House, Mr Mohamed was key member of the RSH community, As well as being involved in the naming of the project, he was also founder of ‘Friends of Red Sea House’, a community driven group that gives extra support to those in need of it. He was a major part of Red Sea House from the beginning, and held a huge influence on getting the community on board.
Many have benefited from Red Sea House’s service, and the project has grown, from solely supporting Somali Elders to now enabling individuals of all genders from Black and Minority groups to benefit from the scheme. It is no doubt that Mr. Mohamed was a key part of this development.
‘The original Mr Red Sea House’, he was a positive influence to everyone who met him and had many close friends. Selfless, supportive, and a true gentleman he will be missed by the RSH community, and Taff Housing Association.
From all at Red Sea House and Taff we offer our condolences to Mr Ahmed Mohamed’s family and friends, and are truly grateful to have met, and worked alongside such a noble and loving man.
