Community Investment

Here at Taff we believe that investing in our communities improves lives for our Customers. We do this in 3 distinct ways.

Our Community

We organise a range of engagement events in the community, supporting existing community groups and venues in the heart of the communities in which we operate. We work closely with local community partners and youth groups to engage with children and young people. We organise activities during the school holidays to help reduce anti-social behaviour and develop a relationship with young people to raise aspirations. Customer Involvement

 As well as supporting existing community groups, we run a range of Customer Involvement groups at Taff, including special interest groups, equality groups and consultation groups that help shape the work of the association and help improve our services for all Customers. Jobs and Training

With Welfare Reform gathering pace, we recognise that giving people the opportunity to train and volunteer so they can gain access to the jobs market is vitally important. We offer a comprehensive range of free (often accredited) training, working in partnership with local universities and training organisations.

We also run a supported volunteer project, providing a number of opportunities including work placements within Taff, placements with our community partners and ‘Share your Skills’ placements. Click on these links to find out more about our volunteering or jobs and training programme



The Team

Clare Dickinson –  Senior Community Investment Officer - Clare runs our Volunteering Project and is the main contact if you are interested in gaining valuable experience that volunteering with us can offer. Annette Kerr – Community Investment Officer. Annette is the Officer responsible for Regeneration and is often seen popping up in  to ask for your views on your community, the services provided and how they can be improved. She is also the lead on the Scrutiny for Taff and manages the Scrutiny Panel who deliver the reports to the Board. She is also the overall manager of the community groups including the allotment.

James Lundie – Community Investment Officer - James is responsible for the Community Pop-Up Programme and developing community solutions and small projects with tenants and community members. James is also interested in working with local groups and organisations to promote and support projects in Canton, Grangetown & Riverside so if you’ve got an idea or project you think Taff should be involved in then get in touch. Sophie Lewis - Customer Service Adviser (Tenant Services). Sophie works with Annette and Clare, supporting the volunteering and training services as well as Taff's community groups and events. You can contact Sophie directly on 02920 259 154.
