2018 has been a successful year for Taff.
Departments from across the organisation have been given national recognition for the work that they do.
The Association placed 33rd in 2018's UK top 50 Landlord competition, and was one of only 4 Welsh organisations that made the list - placing 2nd.
Building Futures, Taff's Training and Volunteer programme was highly commended in the Inspiring Leadership Awards, and was also a finalist in 24 Housing's annual award for 'Best Training Scheme'. Volunteer Laura, won 'Volunteer of the Year' in 2018's WCVA awards, for her passion to raise awareness of mental health through her volunteer work, and her blog - Picture the Positive.
Our mother and baby hostel, Ty Enfys, won the Chartered Institute of Housing's Heroes Award in Care and Support Team (under 7000 homes) category for their dedication to their residents and ensuring that their past does not dictate their future. Whilst our other hostel for young women, Ty Seren was finalist in 24 Housing's Care and Support Provider of the year award for their work in implementing Psychologically Informed Environment.
And at the Welsh Housing Awards our community food Co-Op volunteers were finalists in the Tenant Champion category, having also placed 3rd this year in TPAS Cymru's Tenant Awards.
But it's Taff's employees that have taken the national stage this year.
Abdi Segulle, Manager of our BAME elders scheme, Red Sea House won Community Role Model at 24 Housing Diversity Awards.
Jackie Amos, Head of Support Services, was named Inspirational Colleague by Cymorth Cymru's Promoting Independence Awards and gained a standing ovation from colleagues in the support sector.
Stephan, tenant support officer, was one of three winners of 'Personal Achievement Award' at Cymorth Cymru's Promoting Independence Awards for his dedication to give appropriate and positive support to change lives.
And our sales and lettings agency,Adore Cardiff, was finalist in the Welsh Housing Awards for best in private rented sector or their community focused work.
As an association we have also been accredited as disability confident and committed employer.
