Our project support officers and parenting workers work closely with each individual resident to prepare them to live independently in the community and help them achieve their potential.

An important part of the Ty Enfys community is allowing our residents to have their say. They are consulted on when we are decorating, purchasing equipment/furniture and making changes to the ‘House Rules’.  This demonstrably increases their self-confidence and capability that helps prepare them for living independently. Our residents are what matter most.

Accommodation will be offered to applicants following an assessment that is based on need.  However, it should be stressed that every effort will be made to maximise the residents’ potential through continuous support.

Taff Housing Association manages the Ty Enfys project and is funded through the Supporting People Programme by the Welsh Assembly Government.

It is an emotional time when residents leave Ty Enfys, our team were really moved by a letter given to them upon a recent departure.  All the best from the Ty Enfys & Taff Team in your new home

“Thank you for all the help and support you gave to me and my daughter. You made us feel really welcome, and I appreciate everything you did for us both. From the support and encouragement towards me, to the great days out for the babies and creating memories. It makes me happy to know how happy my daughter felt living  there. You always picked me up that little bit when I felt low! I wouldn’t be able to thank you all enough for the big impact you’ve had on my life. You’ve given us an amazing Christmas present, our new home, to build an amazing future in." - 07/12/17

Latest News at Ty Enfys :

Ty Enfys are one of the named charities/organisations for this year’s St David’s Centre / Capital Radio Christmas Toy Appeal.

Christmas is a magical time for children. The excitement of seeing what Santa’s delivered, frantically unwrapping gifts and playing with toys all day long is a common scene in many households, but not all children have this luxury.

This Christmas, St David’s Centre Cardiff and Capital Radio have got together to ensure that every child in South Wales receives a Christmas gift this year, naming Ty Enfys as one of the beneficiaries alongside other local charities.
